This week was our last session of kiwi can since it's the holidays soon. Today at kiwi can it was really fun. We first started off with a activity could object which was. The object was a holler hoop,paper, and a box. We had to use these objects to make it look like something realistic. After the game we played hand soccer. This was a challenging game because you had try not kick it with your feet. Then we played a game called ten toes down which the group with the non bibs had to pass it to ten people and touch the ground.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Ms Kirkpatrick and Mrs Anderson.

Advertisting.
We have been learning about advertising and some of interesting things they use to make the product sell. We had to chose a New Zealand product and write what you see makes the product good. I have chosen Strawberry ice cream from tip top which is a New Zealand product. I had to write some of the things I see what makes the product better.

Scale Drawing
Last week we were focusing on scale drawings. For this we had to draw grids on our original images and enlargement. We had to rule 1 centimeter lines on our original image and on our enlargement we had to rule 2 centimeters lines and the ratio was 1;2 on our enlargement. Then we had to draw our picture by square by square to make our picture look the same. Ofa F helped me color in my bird and draw some of the wings.

We have been learning about the elections and prime minsters. Today Savelina Nazella Shakaia and I made a flow chart on democracy. democracy means it's when the country or place is ruled by people. I learnt that demos in ancient Greece means power and strength.

Last week we were looking at the movie The Princess Bride we learnt a lot of new things like different types of angle shots. I picked one of my favorite topics on the movie. Political Partys
This week we have been learning about Prime minsters and Politic Party's. This week Savelina Nazella Shakaia and I have been learning about Prime Minsters. Today We have made a goggle presentation about one of the past prime Minsters. We have chosen Helen Clark for our past Prime Minsters. for this we had to research things that she have done good as a Prime Minster. Helan Clark is one of 5th longest Prime Minster to stay in the parliament and has cared about her people.

E- Book Day

Say It Tiki
Today Miss Kirkpatrick introduced us a google maps site. since this weeks foucs is Maori langage week. The Google maps was called Say It Tiki we are learning how to speak the Maori words correctly for Maori language week . We had to get a Maori word that people say incorrectly and imporve on the pronouncement.

How To Stand Up To Bullies.
Today LS2 have been looking at why it's important to stand up to bullies. We have been looking at this because we are year 7 and 8 and we have to learn to help others when there getting bullied. If you ever see anybody stand up to them and use you'r WITS. Sa Kae and I made an animation about bullyin. This shows you a story of how you can stop bullying.

This week we were learning about angles. We had to get into groups of 4 and we had to make a 25 word summary about angles. I worked with Hajera,Sky and Joshua. And we created a DLO on Angles.

Tamaki College Overdrive
Today LS2 went on the Tamaki College Overdrive. Which is a digital library. I like this site because I can choose what ever book I like Mystery,Fiction And nonfiction. My favorite part of this Library is that it's digital. The book that I'm reading is called Nancy Clancy Super Sleuth.This book is under Humor I'm just starting to read this book.

Kiwi Can
This week for kiwi can our focus was taking risks. In Kiwi Can today we played a game called hand soccer. We played soccer by using our hands and we couldn't touch it. Our main rule was for everyone in the team to touch the ball before it goes into the goal. Our other warm up game was bip bop bounce bang we had to say bang before Mrs Malu and Miss Latoia say the whole phrase .

Different Types Of Angles
This week for maths our focus is angles. We had to get into a groups of 4 and find out about the different types of angles and how we could recognize them. The point where the 2 arms meet is called the vertex. The area in between the 2 arms of the angle is measured in degrees. To measure how big the angle is we use a protractor.

Two Word Sentences

This week for writing our focus was 2 word sentences. We had to chose a two word sentence for example dream big.We used FANBOYS and AAWWUIBBIS to create a Compound and Complex and simple sentences

This week for writing our focus was contractions and apostrophes. If you don't know what apostrophes are it's when you use a punctuation mark to replace missing letters.

Today we went on Read Theory. Read theory is very helpful because it helps me build up my knowledge. It also helps me with my reading.
